1. What this policy covers

Short version: this website is quiet. This page explains, in plain language, which technologies store anything in your browser when you visit the TipsForYou website, why they exist, and how you stay in control. It covers the pages published under this website only.

Purchases happen elsewhere — on the checkout run by our payment provider — and section 4 explains what that means for you.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a tiny text record that a website asks your browser to keep. Once stored, it travels back to that website with every request, which is how sites remember a language setting, a shopping basket, or a signed-in session.

Browsers also offer local storage. It looks similar but behaves differently: the data stays on your device and is not attached to network requests automatically. A page has to read it deliberately, in your browser, to use it.

3. What this website stores in your browser

These pages are static — plain HTML, one stylesheet, one small script. The site sets no HTTP cookies whatsoever. There is exactly one thing kept on your device, in local storage, and it exists only so the consent banner does not greet you on every single page:

• cookie_consent — the decision you made: accepted or declined;
• cookie_consent_ts — a timestamp recording when that decision was made.

What that means in practice:

• neither entry is a cookie, and neither is transmitted to our server;
• both live only in the browser on the device you used;
• their single job is deciding whether to show or hide the consent banner;
• they lapse automatically 180 days after your choice, and the banner then asks once more;
• they contain no name, no email address, no purchase details, no identifier of any kind.

4. Purchases — Lemon Squeezy checkout

Choose a buy button and you leave this website for a checkout page hosted by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC), on their own domain. That page is theirs, not ours: it may set its own cookies and handle data according to its own rules, including what is needed to process a payment and prevent fraud.

5. How to manage cookies in your browser

Every modern browser lets you inspect, block, or erase cookies and site data — local storage included. The wording varies, so look for a section named “Privacy”, “Site settings”, or “Cookies and site data”, then find this website in the list.

In Safari on a Mac, for example: Safari › Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data. Clearing our entry simply removes the consent preference; the banner will appear again on your next visit. Nothing else is lost, because nothing else is stored.

6. How to withdraw or change your consent

Your decision is never final. Scroll to the footer of any page and select “Cookie Preferences”. The consent banner reopens and you can pick Accept or Decline again, as often as you like.

Because there are no analytics or advertising cookies to switch on, both answers produce identical behavior on the site. The only difference is the preference itself, which stays recorded until it expires after 180 days or you clear it.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised — for instance if we change how the site is built. The “Effective date” at the top always reflects the current version. Should we ever introduce analytics or advertising technologies, we will publish an updated policy and ask for your consent before anything is activated.
